The Island Garden City of Samal (aka Samal Island) by means of the Samal Island Tourism Council, and in conjunction with the Mindanao Tourism Council (MTC) has announced a series of events with the purpose of promoting the wonder and beauty that is Samal Island.
I thought that was my job, but I suppose I could use a little help from time to time Really though, it is great to see that the importance of promoting the island is more of a priority than in the past. The events have started already, so get your plans together before it’s too late.

Looks like I’ll be arriving just after the “swimsuit presentation” and leaving just before the “Miss Body Beautiful” presentation. I assume these are of the female persuasion… Guess I’ll head down to the frisbee finals in Kaputian and bring my snorkeling gear for a fun filled day! Of course, Asawa Ko could would win all these competitions and is a good thing for the Samal that she will not be present! Cheers to the Samal Is tourism council.

Great that you can attend some of it. Wish I could.
Yes, it’s nice to see that there is interest in actually promoting the island, instead of just talk about it. I hope they do a good job with the events, and that it builds from there.
