Sometimes you just need to take a break. I could not write anything at all this week, and that certainly would be fine with practically everyone, as near as I can tell. My motivation for writing is low at the moment. I’ve got a few topics in mind, but nothing that is compelling me enough to sit down and write about it.

There are different motivations involved for wanting to write articles. Sometimes I feel like I have something fairly valuable to share. Other times I’m more interested in trying to build the website up. Those two shouldn’t be mutually exclusive, but they can be.

My Facebook Deactivation Experiment

I’m not fond of Facebook. There I said it. Maybe I could have stated it stronger, but that’s the general idea. To me it is a necessary evil.

The things I don’t like about Facebook are probably the same things you don’t care for, with a few possible differences. One of the main differences might be the fact that I don’t know about 75% of my friends there since I mainly use it for my blog postings. That can have its positives though, as some of those new friends have become real friends. For my true friends and family it can be a great way to keep up to date. But there are other ways.
